May 22, 2026 – Leiden
FLOW Symposium – Setting the Stage for Steering Protein Fate
What an exciting day! We had three top speakers from the field, who we are lucky to have as our IAB-members as well, and 6 of our own FLOW speakers. The audience was packed with eager scientists offering up good questions and ideas. And the cherry on top was the beautiful weather we could enjoy during our lunch break.

May 20 & 21, 2026 – Noordwijkerhout
Meeting together with the International Advisory Board (IAB)
During this two-day meeting we held three sessions of presentations, each revolving around 1 central question.
The presentations and flash talks were given by our PhD students and postdocs. There was also time for a poster session, during which we could further talk about the research and findings.
At the end of these two days, the IAB gave us very valuable feedback that we will be sure to take with us and implement where we can. We are very grateful to them!
And of course, we also had much fun together during the free hours!
February 26, 2026 – Nijmegen
Today was all about the progress of the project. In the morning, several young investigators presented their work and their progress. In the afternoon, the whole consortium discussed the progress in reference to the plans and teams were set up to guard further progress and report this to the consortium going forward. A good preparation for our meeting with the International Advisory Board in May!
November 26, 2025 – Enschede
The better part of today was filled with very interesting presentations by the young investigators of the consortium, updating us on their research developments. In the afternoon, the communication panel updated us on their plans and, after their success in the previous meeting, we again held discussions in small groups. A day full of science!
October 16, 2025 – Utrecht
The day started with an introduction of yet another affiliated member to our consortium: prof. Christian Kaiser from the UU!
The rest of the morning was focused on practical discussions around data management, publications, and more. The afternoon was filled with discussions in small groups, connecting members of the consortium to come up with new collaborations. Many exciting plans were made!
June 23, 2025 – Groningen
This meeting was all about hearing from the young investigators. We had several presentations on the different techniques used in the consortium, and all young investigators brought a poster to present during lunch and in the afternoon poster session.
April 11, 2025 – Leiden
Since the previous meeting, we gained two affiliated members: dr. Ilana Berlin from the LUMC and prof. Ellen Nollen from the UMCG. After their introductions, we had several parallel discussions on the different work packages and approaches. In the afternoon, we enjoyed the exciting stories in the poster session and parallel discussions between young investigators and PIs separately.
We concluded this productive day with dinner in Leiden city center.
November 22, 2024 – Utrecht
Our first meeting as a consortium!
Most of the PhD candidates and post docs have been appointed, so the goal of this meeting was mainly to introduce the project to everyone and to introduce everyone to each other.
Committees were formed and first discussions were started. The day was concluded with a nice dinner in Utrecht city center.
